Elena’s academic path reflects a strong interest in both corporate law and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. She studied law at KU Leuven, where she first discovered the start-up world by advising founders as part of her Master’s thesis. She later completed a Masters in General Management at Vlerick Business School, with a focus on Corporate Finance and M&A, strengthening the strategic and financial dimension of her legal background.
Before joining dups, Elena was part of Deloitte Legal - Lawyers’ Corporate and M&A team, where she mainly advised start-ups and scale-ups on fundraising transactions, with a particular focus on the med-tech and bio-tech sectors. Through this experience, she developed a practical understanding of entrepreneurial challenges, investor dynamics, and transaction execution.
Elena joined dups in May 2026 as Legal Counsel & Business Development Flanders to support founders through fundraising and M&A transactions. She combines legal expertise with a business-oriented mindset, helping entrepreneurs navigate complex processes with clarity and confidence.
Outside of work, Elena is passionate about sports and actively supports young athletes as chair of the Youth Board of Special Olympics Belgium. Her drive to operate across multiple disciplines and environments naturally led her to dups.
